Peach Sorbet

Servings

1 quart

Ingredients

2 pounds Fresh ripe peaches
1 cup Water ( 8oz )
1 cup Sugar ( 8oz )
2 cups Peach puree ( 18oz ) ( From fresh peaches )
1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Bring the sugar and water to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Let cool completely and set aside. Score the bottom of peaches with an X and place in boiling water for about 10 seconds. Remove then place then in ice cold water until cool then remove skin and pits. Puree peaches in a food processor or blender. Pour about 2 Cups of the puree into a bowl, stir in simple syrup ( sugar water solution ) and lemon juice. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Place in a container and freeze overnight to achieve proper consistency. Serve, Enjoy!
