Ingredients
1 cup Water
1 cup Sugar
18 ounce Fresh Strawberries ( or 16oz/2 Cups strawberry puree )
1 tablespoon Lemon zest very fine
Directions
Bring the sugar and water to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Let cool completely. Cut the stems off of the strawberries and puree them in a food processor. Press the strawberry puree through a strainer to remove the seeds and add it to the cool sugar syrup. Add the lemon zest and stir well. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Place in a container and freeze overnight to achieve proper consistency. Serve, Enjoy!
