Ingredients
1 pound Spaghetti
1 gallon Water
1/4 cup Salt
Meatballs
1 pound Ground beef
1/2 cup Onions finely chopped
3 clove Garlic finely chopped
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
2 Eggs
1 cup Bread crumbs
1 teaspoon Basil dry
1/2 teaspoon Oregano dry
1/2 tablespoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper ground
Tomato sauce
1/8 cup Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup Onions small dice
3 clove Garlic finely chopped
4 cups Crushed tomatoes
10 leaves Basil torn
To Taste Salt and Pepper
Garnish
1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large pot put one gallon of water and bring to a boil, then add salt and cook until aldente.
Meatballs:
Place all ingredients into a medium size bowl and mix until everything is incorporated. Roll the meatballs out to about 1 ½ inch in size and put on a sheetpan and cook for 20 minutes.
Sauce:
Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Sweat the onion, garlic, until
the onions are translucent about 4-6 minutes. Add the tomatoes and bring to a boil. Lower
the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add in the torn basil leaves and
season with salt and pepper.
Service:
Toss the cooked pasta in with the tomato sauce and warm briefly. Add in the meatballs the garnish with the parmesan cheese and serve. Enjoy!
